Funky Beats currently has 4 schools, 3 situated in Essex and one in Didcot in Oxford . Our first school in Harold wood has been running successfully for 5 years now. Our Second school opened in Didcot, Oxford in 2006. The third school opened in Brentwood in 2008 and our latest school opened in Billericay in April 2009. We also hope to open a fifth Funky Beats after school club later this year and our FB All Stars stage school opening in the New Year which will be every Saturday. We have approximately 287 students attending classes within our 4 schools.

We have professional teachers and artistes working with us, who have all had experience within the industry.

We take children from the age of 3 years up

to 15+ years. These ages are split between 4 groups, Tots, juniors, Intermediates and seniors

Here at Funky Beats we like the children to experience different styles of dancing, so we try to hire a range of different teachers to do workshops throughout the year to help the children learn different techniques. These may include Break Dancers, Freestylers and other Street Dancers; our main lessons do consist of street dancing.

The drama explores the children’s natural abilities to perform and helps them to gain self confidence. They learn a series of drama skills and techniques during classes and put their professional skills to the test with our school shows, which allows them to practise their audition technique.

For the budding young actors, dancers and models; Funky Beats offers courses throughout the year to help the children gain a deeper understanding of the industry and what would be expected of them. Please look to the right to find out more. If the children do take part in these courses they will automatically be put onto the Funky Beats agency.
